I havent gotten a new mic in a while and mine is near death. I seriously have a portion of a shoelace tied to it keeping one of the earpieces attached :)

Does anyone have one that they really recommend? Keep in mind that I never actually put it on, i generally have it around my neck with my mic in a good position and I do use speakers. I havent had any complaints so i know my speaker volume etc isnt bad.

Also, my mouse has gotten to the point where the grip is gone and it simply feels awkward on your hands, suggestions? (and it must have at the whole 6 button deal)

I've used Razer mice since the copperhead and haven't been dissapointed. The only other mouse I used before that was the original Optical mouse from Microsoft (The Intellimouse, titanium version) back in like... 2000. I now use a Razer Lachesis and love it.

For headsets, I'm pretty harsh on mine and I go through a pair of headphones about every 6-9 months. I've used Plantronics for a while now in different varieties, but they've all been of high quality (I only have to replace them because I've either tripped on the cord and ripped them, sat on them and broke them, or other heavy wear and tear). The ones I'm using now are the Plantronics Gamecom 777 series, but not the 5.1 dolby version as I found that to be a little gimmicky.

Hope that helps.

Any headset by Sennheiser is usually a good choice.

As for mice, the I use a G9 and before that a G7. I got the whole World of Warcraft mouse by SteelSeries but I am very disappointed with it and don't use it.

the G9 looks wide and really small, is this not the case?

Headset:
A cheapo Logitech, was on special after my previous solution - a generic desk mic taped to the side of my Sennheiser phones - failed. It's not the best quality, but it was really cheap and isn't bad enough to make an effort to replace.

Mouse:
Logitech G9. I previously had a Razer Lachesis, but the early versions were fairly buggy and it was about the most finicky mouse I've ever used. The current ones behave much better from what I've heard, but personally I'll wait til a whole new hardware revision. That said, the G9's pretty good. It's comfy, has fantastic response, and isn't at all finicky. If you insist on a Razer right now, I using a Razer Deathadder at work, which is great; it's comfy and very smooth.

And for the Love of Cthulhu, don't get a decent mouse and then use it on your desk; splash a bit extra for a decent hard Razer mouse mat.

Keyboard:
Logitech G15. I did replace it with a Razer Lycosa for a while, but again the early versions had some hardware bugs that Razer implemented a replacement program for. They did send me a replacement, but it was in a UK layout (Australia uses a US layout), so I just went back to my G15 and haven't really bothered to get used to the UK Lycosa.

I tend to prefer boom mics. Any decent headset will have a decent mic.

I've played around with the G9 a lot, but I can't find any reason to upgrade to that from my logitech mx512. I find the G9 a little small in my hand for snap shots in first person shooters, and honestly, any mid-range optical/laser mouse is more than enough for a MMO. Ask yourself what you do mostly, and unless you're some crazy FPS player, it doesn't really matter. And ever for shooters, the mx512 is amazing. Smooth, steady, adjustable weight and sensitivity, and most importantly for me, the mouse feet are VERY durable. I play on a hard mousepad (x-ray pad thunder 8) and the combo is very nice, and you're not paying an arm and a leg for the G9.

Edit: I'm a retard. Too much studying has warped my fragile little mind. I'm talking about the G5 above. Kind of a good midpoint, and has a better profile/hand-fit IMO.

I snagged the g9 for $50, figured id go ahead and give it a try for that price. I am a little concerned on its size, but ive got younger brothers so i can always pass it down if need be.
